DAN SNYDER
PAINTINGS
My painting style varies. That may very well seem an understatement, for at times, my studio may look as though several different artists are working there. I tend to work on a series of similarly themed pieces for a stretch of time. Then I may need to rethink, not only my theme, but the whole process of painting. This page has some examples of "rethinks". The theme was the conflict of cultures. The imagery was derived from old book illustrations and contemporary newspapers and magazines. Sometimes, as here, the press of real life events forces these "rethinks".
